Carlos y Daniel han sido muy atentos, la comida ha hecho un recorrido por las raíces del Alentejo y hemos podido viajar en el tiempo a través de los sabores que ofrece la esencia de marvao. El equipo ha sido muy amable y el maridaje muy oportuno acorde a las sensaciones de cada evolución de platos. Obrigadissimo, volveremos cada año para hacer seguimiento de la cocinha. ☺️🍇 ~ María D

We came to Marvão mainly to escape the extreme heat of the Alentejo plains, we never expected to find a restaurant like Guarita. The setting is elegant and beautifully kept. The tasting menu is simply outstanding: each dish is crafted with unusual combinations of local ingredients, carefully presented and full of character. Every plate was explained in detail by the staff (down to the origin of the salt !) which added a very personal touch. The service is superb: warm and attentive, creating a relaxed and refined atmosphere that made us feel completely at ease throughout the meal. What surprised us most was the price, exceptionally low for the quality on offer. Highly recommended ! don't miss it if you're in the area. ~ Leonardo G

We enjoyed the five-course menu and every single dish was beautifully presented and full of incredible flavor. You can really tell that great care is taken in using fresh, organic, and regional ingredients, which made the entire experience feel even more special. The service was equally impressive, every member of the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a special evening. We loved every aspect of our visit and couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. As someone who has had the privilege to eat in a number of great Michelin star restaurants I am always intrigued by new restaurants with young chefs at the start of their journey. Daniel did not disappoint. The menu is based on locally sourced products. There is a great deal of skill on show with subtle yet complex flavours. Every course made us smile. Although the high quality was evident on every plate, it is worth highlighting the pre desert and the actual deserts themselves were exceptional. My only regret is that we were only in the area for one night. PS. At only one day’s notice Daniel provided a wonderful vegetarian tasting menu for my wife. This place deserves to succeed. Das Degustationsmenü war sensationell gut. Jeder Gang war ein voller Genuss. Spannende Geschmackskombinationen - portugiesisch und ein bisschen japanisch. Es hat soviel Spaß gemacht, auch weil der Service und der junge Koch mit seinem Team sehr aufmerksam und nett sind. Sehr gut auch die begleitenden Weine. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist super. ~ Nix D

Ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant in schönem Ambiente. Jeder Gang war spannend, toll angerichtet und lecker. Das wine pairing ist absolut empfehlenswert, der Service äusserst freundlich und kompetent. EXCELENTE! Serviço de Atendimento muito bom, simpatia, eficiência e aconselhamento impecáveis. Cozinha de autor maravilhosa, pratos equilibrados e apresentação perfeita. Fantastisk upplevelse från början till slut. Varenda rätt var en smakupplevelse. Miljön härlig. Stort tack till Daniel Almeida som lagade och berättade om varje rätt på ett varmt och ärligt sätt. Tem tudo o que se espera de um bom restaurante. Bom ambiente, serviço impecável e comida saborosa, com os sabores equilibrados e em quantidade correta num menu de degustação com 3 momentos ao almoço e 5 ao jantar. Jantei ontem no Guarita. Surpreendido (ou não) pela grande qualidade de um chef muito novo, mas de grande técnica e talento. Um menu de jantar bem elaborado, ingredientes da terra, pratos surpreendentes. Decoração bonita e sóbria, atendimento muito correto e profissional. Dit was waanzinnig lekker! Hier worden de lokale producten en de typische portugese keuken in een modern jasje gestoken wat resulteerde in een feestje voor uw smaakpapillen. Zeer vriendelijke mensen en een heel fijn en mooie decor. En qua prijs ook zeker de moeite waard. ~ Sandra C

What a wonderful experience! The food was of exceptional quality, and every course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors were refined and memorable, and we truly enjoyed every dish. Amazing staff and food. The price might seem "high" for some persons but for the quality of food, service I think it's totally worth it and highly recommend it if it's within your budget. I had dinner and lunch at this place I can say it's easily one of the best meals (if not the best) I had in recent years. Marvão is an amazing place and if you're looking for a restaurant to make your visit more memorable Guarita is the place for you. ~ João R

We hebben hier vanmiddag met 6 personen geluncht. Het was super lekker. Het sfeer was enorm goed heerlijk muziek en je had gevoel dat je in de watten gelegd (goed verzorgd) word. Verrassend voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht viel bij iedereen ook in de smaak. Ik zelf vond het Chocolade dessert het lekkerst. Mijn partner vond het Framboos dessert lekkerst. Ik en mijn vouw komen zeker nog eens terug voor 5 gangen in de avond. Mijn familie houd zich ook aanbevolen om weer eens terug te gaan, wanneer ze hier weer zijn. Ein Restaurant auf Sterneniveau mit einem sympathischen jungen Koch. Die Burgenstadt Marvao im nördlichen Alentejo ist jeder Umweg wert. Sensationelles Preis Leistungsverhältnis. ~ Kerstin W
